Dreamcatcher at Two Diamond Art Farm
An Invitation:
Come and enjoy an evening at the Artfarm
Sunset Stroll at Two Diamond Artfarm, North Saco
Saturday August 17, 6-9pm
Wander at your leisure through the grounds of the North Saco Artfarm and feast your eyes upon the sculptural works of Artfarmer Patrick Pierce while witnessing the evolution of the Dreamcatcher.
Experience the magic of communicating with nature. In this multi-sensory exhibit, join a traveling dancer and local participants as we collectively tap into the roots of communication among trees and people.
Fall under the Dreamcast of The Rhizomatic Collective Unconscious Dreamcatcher – a performance installation by Cilla Vee Life Arts
Who: Guest artist CillaVee works in collaboration with community members to present an environmental art installation and performance of movement, poetry and sound.
What: Sculptural dreamcatcher woven together in real-time as dancers perform with ambient music and vocal recitative.
As above: so below — neural networks of the mind and collective unconscious are mirrored beneath our feet. Within the forest floor mycorrhizal fungi weave plants and trees together into one resilient organism — a whole of which we are a part.
Recurring forms in nature find expression in archetypal myths and dreams. The dreamcatcher originates from indigenous North American Ojibwe traditions and was shared broadly over time to become a recognized spiritual talisman in the dream world.
All community members who would like to participate in the Dreamcatcher
performance are invited to attend a “Crash Course” workshop on the Artfarm
that afternoon at 3pm.
