The Rhizomatic Collective Unconscious Dreamcatcher


PERFORMER GUIDE



The Rhizomatic Collective Unconscious Dreamcatcher is a magical, mystical and meditational experience for the performer. We exist as though timeless in a liminal state between human-body, nature-body, mystical-being and art-form.


It is a durational installation.

Audience members are free to come and go throughout the duration.

Individual performers can take breaks as needed - rotating in and out of performance.


The Dreamcatcher is a large sculpture.

It is usually hung from a structure about 10 to 15 feet high.

It is made out of long tendrils of different materials - mostly fabrics - with other objects attached. All in white.

The tendrils hang down and during the course of the performance, the performers gradually add materials - extending the form further into the space.

  Dreamcatcher Project Report 2024       APRIL   Dreamcatcher at Black Mountain College {Re}Happening   – Black Mountain NC USA   The first Rhizomatic Collective Unconscious Dreamcatcher was commissioned by the Black Mountain College Museum in Asheville NC as part of their annual {Re}Happening event held April 20 th on the old Black Mountain College campus at Lake Eden.
